Could be a vacuum leak. I'm not too familiar with that engine, but check all the air hoses, the PCV system, EGR and all that.... Also, change the charcoal cannister.

Dirty fuel filter. Get it changed.
this could be several things. If it occurs often there could be a fuel pump or fuel pump filter problem. The gas filter in the line could be clogging. The mass airflow sensor cound be going out.
It could be the PCV pipe. Mine has had that problem more than once and it was the same thing both times. Have it checked for any vacuum leaks.

Model, engine size? Have you checked the igniton system? Look at the basics, proper spark fuel supply, etc. Have you done a fuel filter recently, pehaps time for a tune up?
