Does the light come on while driving or stay on from ignition on to start and idle?. When you switch on the ignition the light will flash, but must go out when starting and oil pressure is reached. When the light flashes, does an alarm also sound after a while? My answers is based on my own experience with 2 CLi's and is based on South African models.......
Flashing means that the car is misfiring. Driving it like that could damage the catalytic converter.
My 1995 Passat's oil light flashes when I'm low on oil and go around a corner. It kinda depends what light is flashing.
In general, you can't.
transmission fluid pressure
A flashing oil light can be warning you of an oil pressure problem. The quantity of oil can be fine but the oil pressure may be low due to other problems.
check your oil pressure.... that's what that light is for. if oil pressure checks out the replace sensor
No, it would cause the "low oil" light to come on.
Tire pressure warning light either low tire pressure or uneven tire pressure
How do you reset dashboard brake light on vw passat
The traction control is either operating (flashing) or is switched off (constantly lit)
Have vehicle scanned to determine problem
By having it repaired by a qualified technician. It is flashing because something is wrong with the SRS. Do not ignore this and do not attempt to repair yourself. Serious injury can occur when working with the SRS.
