It is legal to drive a Honda Elite 150 on the free way, but I would not recommend it. They just do not have the top speed for the free way. Sure, they might do 65 mph, but that is full throttle and redlining the engine. This is not good to do to the engine for extended periods of time. Also, the wind and hills could slow you down to 50-54 mph. Suvs go flying past you at 80+ mph. I would not even recommend a 250 cc scooter for ideal free way driving. A 400 cc is the perfect size scooter for long free way rides. They will easily maintain 80 mph into the wind with plenty of power to spare and pull until around 106 mph. A 150 is fine for short free way distances, say from 2 exits, but then you will want to get off and let the engine rest. But it is completely legal.
