1988 GMC S15 dash lights they wont come on anymore wires flashed when installing a new radio dash lights only come on sometimes also parking light switch does not work what is wrong with it?

If i remembor right the dash lights and radio run off of the same fuse in my 86 gmc s15 so u might check that fuse, as well as the running lights might run off of it. GMC pretty much just put random systems together on fuses to cut down on the amount of fuses needed.
