Sounds like a vacuum leak - check the hoses to the vacuum actuated motors under dash Could be a bad check valve in the vacuum booster (for brakes)
This one is easy. Brake booster diaphragm is ruptured, causing a massive vacuum leak, which will cause the engine to run poorly when the brakes are applied. A loss vacuum assist will make it difficult to stop the vehicle.
Sounds like are running "metal to metal" . Brake linings need to be replaced ==== Another thing that can cause hissing too is if your vacuum assist has a vacuum leak in it. As you apply pressure it it is forcing air out of this leak. This can sometimes be heard inside the vehicle if it is big enough. It usually causes you to have to use more force on the pedal to stop also.
Brake linings need replacing? Vacuum leak?
The power brake vacuum booster is probably failing.
Power brake booster is going bad. wont hold vacuum for power brakes to work.
This sounds like the power brake vacuum booster going bad.
Power brakes use engine vacuum to get their power. If the engine is out of tune, the loss of vacuum will cause it to run rough. Try changing the spark plugs.
vacuum hose dimgram for 1994 ford bronco
The power brake booster is leaking vacuum and that makes the engine die when the brakes are applied. Replace brake booster.
It could be a leaking vacuum hose to the power brake booster or the membrane in the booster could have a hole. When the brakes are applied, the booster is opened to the engine vacuum via the hose. The vacuum leak would then increase, causing the engine to stall.
Vacuum leak or your window is open.
