I have a 1991 Buick Lesabre. It stalls a lot. And doesn't want to turn over often. I changed the fuel filter and that seemed to work for about a week. Also, put in new plugs. It runs fine when giving it gas, but engine shacks when at a stop. I can't seem to find the problem. Any suggestions?
Crank shaft sensor need replaced or cam shaft sensor
Do you have your parking brake on?
You may need a new flasher.
A 2002 Buick Le Sabre may not turn over due to several potential issues, such as a dead battery, faulty starter motor, or a problem with the ignition system. Additionally, issues with the fuel system or a blown fuse could prevent the engine from cranking. It's important to check the battery connections, listen for clicking sounds when turning the key, and inspect the starter and ignition components to diagnose the problem accurately. If these checks don't reveal the issue, consulting a mechanic may be necessary.
our 99 buick lesabre had the same problem. WE had to change the bcm and the ign. switch plus have 2 neew keys made. But if yours will turn over it could be in the distributor check for fire at plugs.
If your 1991 Buick Park Avenue won't turn over, it could be due to several issues. Common causes include a dead battery, faulty ignition switch, or a malfunctioning starter motor. Additionally, check for loose or corroded connections in the battery or starter circuit. If these components are functioning properly, you may need to investigate further for issues with the fuel system or engine internals.
Bulbs or turn signal flasher, maybe even the switch.
On a 1997 Buick Le Sabre Custom, the turn signal flasher is typically located under the dashboard, near the steering column. It is often found in the fuse box area or attached to the harness near the brake pedal. To access it, you may need to remove a panel or cover to reach the flasher unit. Always consult the vehicle's manual for specific details and diagrams.
Check for burnt out bulbs and could be a bad flasher as well.
this will be a 3 step process for 1991 buick lesabre step 1) 35 ft-lbs all bolts step 2) turn an additional 130 degrees step 3) turn the center 4 bolts an additional 30 degrees
After you park and turn off the car push the head lights button once and the lights will still be on but after five minutes or so check back on them. They should turn off. That's what I do and it works.
I have a 92 PA so it might be the same. I removed the entire head light assy first. There are two thumb screws to do this. This gives adequate access to the turn signal bulb. Hope this works for you.
