Simply: Check your engine! Check all fluid levels immediately ... check for broken or cracked plug wires. Have the code "read" at a shop that has that capability. Could be a simple thing as an intermittant engine mis-fire which is almost impossible to diagnose.
That is the check engine light. That is the check engine light.
No, oil level does not cause the check engine light.
The service engine light is the same thing as a check engine light.
The check engine light is the light shaped like an engine, or the light that states Check Engine (Soon). If this light comes on, it is time to see what the issue is with the engine.
Hi, I was told that if you fill the gas tank while the car is running, the check engine light may come on, it will go off after a while of driving. I had the same intermittant problem.....
Yes, the Service Engine Soon light is the same as the Check Engine light.
There are sensors all over the engine that can turn the check engine light on.There are sensors all over the engine that can turn the check engine light on.
The check engine light does not generally have anything to do with the check oil light. The oil light just indicated it is time to change the oil, while the engine light indicates a problem.
Check your owners manual. There should be a description/picture of the check engine light.
I have a 2000 coupe with auto trans. It has 94,000 miles on it. Recently, when I accelerated hard, the check engine light would come on. Code PO200. This happend twice. Then I developed an intermittant engine miss. I diagnosed it as a bad coil pack. Replaced it , car ran fine. Last week, light came on again whenever I hit the throttle hard. Then it developed an intermittant miss again. This miss came and went. When the engine starting missing, there was a strong gas odor from the exhaust. I decided to replace the remaining coil packs. Cleared the code. Car runs like a bear when I hit the throttle and no check engine light code. I know this fix doesn't relate to an injector failure but the symptoms might be fooling the computer.
A flashing check engine light is usually an indication of a misfire.
