No it will not fit. The model generations are (1991-1994) and (1995 - not sure). Today I tried to take a 1995 tailgate and install it on my 1991. The hinges and struts will attach just fine, but the tailgates are not the same size.
Starting with the 1995 model year of the Ford Explorer the AUTOMATIC transmission was ELECTRONICALLY controlled ( so the answer would be no )
1995 was the first year an electronically controlled automatic transmission was used in the Ford Explorer ( I believe it was called the 4R55E ) In the 1992 Ford Explorer an A4LD automatic transmission was used
Sorry no , the 1992 and 1995 both have front disc brakes but have different part numbers for brake pads , rotors The 1992 has rear drum brakes , the 1995 rear disc brakes
On a 1995 Ford Explorer : No ( at least my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT doesn't )
I'm not a mechanic/technician but the 1995 Explorer transmission is a 4R55E (electronically controlled) transmission and the 1992 Explorer is an A4LD transmission so I don't think so .
No, the door on a 1998 Ford Explorer will not fit a 1992 Ford Explorer.
How do you replace evaporator on a 1992 ford explorer?"
Up until the 1995 Ford Explorer the only engine was the 4.0 L - OHV - V6
Supposedly Jiffy Lube (I don't know if you have one where you are) or a ford dealer will do it for under $100. At least they will in my 1995 Explorer XLT
I'm not a mechanic / technician but from what I've read there were ( 3 ) different engine blocks , 1990 to 1994 / 1995 and 1996 / 1997 to 2000 So I would say no
The automatic transmission in a 1995 Ford Explorer is electronically controlled
You can replace the top door hinge with bottom hinges on the 1992 as long as the hinge is for the cab doors. The hinges for the tailgate would not work on the doors.
