Check fuses and relays. If you have power coming from the ignition switch but not getting to the starter there might be a bad fuse or relay or wire. Also make sure you have the wiring correct to the starter since you just replaced it.
Most often it is the starter and not the ignition.
Ignition switch going bad, corroded or loose battery cables, starter relay or starter going bad.
turn ignition system and fuel system on then put in 2nd gear and push
Either the starter, starter relay or ignition switch are failing.
Not to bash on the last answer, but, the starter solenoid probably isn't at fault here. If it will start with the screwdriver then the starter solenoid is functioning. It either does or it doesnt. The answer lies in circuitry back from the solenoid to the ignition switch. You could have a bad ignition switch or neutral/safety switch.AnswerDefective starter solenoid.
Some vehicles require "shims" to be installed when a starter is replaced so the Bendix drive will engage the pressure plate teeth. If the starter is too far away from the teeth on the pressure plate, the vehicle will fail to turn over.
you can try to short the starter motor . take a screw driver and bridge ffrom battery cable on starter to ignition wire on starter. if starter is good, engine will crank. if starter is bad , solenoid will click if no clicking, solenoid is bad
No noise when you try to start the vehicle usually indicates a dead battery, or a loose or disconnected cable/wire at the starter, solenoid (starter relay switch), or ignition switch.
"Dead" Starter CircuitsI'm not familiar with your vehicle, but...I suspect that the problem is an "open circuit" conditionin the circuit between your ignition switch and the starter solenoid, or possibly the starter solenoid itself.Something that is supposed to be in contact is disconnected, or possibly the contacts inside the ignition switch have failed and won't make contact.
he doesnt talk
if it doesnt turn over at all the starter is bad if it turns over but doesnt fire it could be ignition or belt related check wit a qualified mechanic shop
usually you can tell when your car doesnt turn or or doesnt turn over its because of your starter sometimes its not the starter it could be a low battery or corroded wires leading to the starter check that first;
