What should it cost to replace rear brakes, drums and rotors, '96 Volvo 850 GLT.
To replace the rear brakes on a Volvo 850 you must first remove the old brakes. Then connect all of the wirings to the new brakes including the brake fluid line and the connection for the brake pads.
Sorry no , the 1992 and 1995 both have front disc brakes but have different part numbers for brake pads , rotors The 1992 has rear drum brakes , the 1995 rear disc brakes
Disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear.
First, please understand that rear brakes do not work as hard as front brakes. The ratio of working is 60% front brakes and 40% rear brakes. Therefore, they do not wear out as quickly. Is this your observation and reason for asking the question? Second, if your rear brakes really are not working, you will experience a longer distance to come to a complete stop. Are you experiencing this? If so, then you really do have a problem with your rear brakes. You will have to check that the brake fluid is flushed (old brake fluid gathers moisture from the air and does not work as well) and you will have to check to see if any of the rear brake parts are "frozen" -stuck in place so that they do not squeeze the brake drum or disk. Please let me know how it goes. Your colleague in New Jersey
Yes it does, Rear ONLY.
I don't think that will work unless you change over to rear disc brakes, the hub should not match.
You need to bleed the entire brake system. Bleed in this sequence, RR, LR, RF, LF. If you do not know how to do this, do a search online for "bleeding brakes" THE REAR WHEEL CYLINDERS MAY BE LEAKING SHOULD ALWAYS CHANGE WHEN DOING BRAKES AND BLEED REAR BRAKES
how do i take the brakes out of a massy165
A diagram for the rear brakes on a 1992 Dodge Dakota are available through stores that sell auto motive parts. These stores are often connected to large databases that store diagrams for many different types of vehicles.
I know some WD40, a cro bar, a large C clamp and a set of TORX wrenches, and/or male sockets.
The minimum rotor thickness for a 1992 Saturn SL2 is .625 inches for the front and .350 inches for the rear if equipped with rear disc brakes.
