Cabriolets typically take a higher viscosity oil then most domestic cars. Check your owners manual and make sure you are using the right oil. Change the oil to 20W50. Use an oil filter other than Fram. Replace the oil pressure sending unit(s). Replace the oil pump. The engine's internal parts are gradually wearing down. The above actions are fixes to the light problem and will aid in engine wear, but eventually (years down the road) the engine will need servicing. Always use a mechanical oil pressure guage first to make sure the oil pressure is actually lower than specifications. In many cases the lights or electronic guage may not be giving a proper reading. Some cars will have the oil light and low reading at idle from brand new and live a long happy life. Your water temperature is a good indicator also, low oil pressure will cause higher engine temperature readings. If the oil pressure light comes on while driving or the guage reads low at higher RPM's you probably need to replace some parts as you have a lubrication problem. Regardless, low oil pressure will kill an engine so make sure you check it out.
