1992 dakoda 318 4 speed auto tranny is no working right it feels like the converter is locking up took it to a shop they said its in the trany any ideas befor getting a new trany?

If it feels like the converter is locking up, I assume you mean when it is not suppose to. If it feels like the converter is not disengaging (unlocking) the truck should buck a little when you try to stop- feels like trying to stop in a manual trans veh without putting in the clutch.
