1993 Nissan Pathfinder V6 4x4. turning key the dashboard lights up and engine turns but doesn't catch. new rotor and cap. What are the symptoms of a bad timing belt?

1 symptom is a very easy turning engine. If the belt is broken; you are not moving the valves when you try to start the vehicle. It will just spin quickly and it will NEVER attempt to run. If it hits even once; the belt is still engaged. However if the belt fails(ed) while running the engine could destroy itself as it is an interferance engine. That means that the internal engines parts will strike each other with great force because they will be moving out of time with each other...........very bad and great big giant bucks to fix.
