clean your maf(mass air flow sensor)
The valve needs replaced. There is a metal plug that has fallen out.
The O2 light means the oxyogen sensor is needing to be replaced. It should be some where in the exhaust system.Answerit is located on the exhaust manifold with wires to a plug coming from it
You can smell exhaust because your exhaust pipes and exhaust system has worn out. As a result, the exhaust and carbon monoxide it contains leaks inside the van. Soon, it will not be a problem because the carbon monoxide will have killed all of you.
i had the same problem recently with my 92 topaz, the cause of the problem was a leak in my power steering line . the fluid was dripping on my exhaust manifold causing the smoke .
Your engine is shot. Rings or valves, probably both, are shot.
your exhaust may be jammed
If you have black smoke coming out it would be because you have bad timings, i have a buddy who had that happen to his jeep and we replaced the spark plugs and air filter and fixed the timing and it solved the problem, but wen you blow black smoke its because of bad timing it happens with diesels to.
there is no water mixed with the oil but have antifreeze coming out of the exhaust
are the cooling fans coming on
Take it back immediately to who ever did the exhaust work.
The rattling and whistling on the 94 Explorer sounds like an exhaust problem. Check the exhaust for any leaks or loose connections.
The O2 sensor is in the front of the engine. If you look at the exhaust manifold by the heat shield you will see it. It screws into the exhaust and has a single wire coming out of it running back toward the drivers side of the engine. Easy to change
