no, there are several transmissions that Jeep used, they had transmissions for 4 cylendars, v-6, and v-8 applications. and like everything else, some had overdrive, some didnt. there might be one or two trannys that would interchange but your best bet is to go with the same one that you have.

Converting a manual transmission to automatic transmission is not possible but you can replace a manual transmission to an automativ transmission . That is also an expensive deal.
