Manual defrost is the instructions for you to manually defrost your freezer and automatic defrost is saying the freezer defrost on it's own.
If the heat selector will not switch from defrost to the dash or foot vents on a 1992 Buick, it is possible that the cable connected to the vent is broken. When the selector is moved from defrost, a cable opens the other selected vents on the heater.
There is no fuse, it is directly connected and when it burns out it destroys the wire harness. Found this out the hard way on my 07 Impala.
I don't know why the vent would not open for the defrost, but it may be related to the fact that your heater core is blown. If your getting nothing but cold air out of the vents when the heat is on, your core is finished and if the core is finished then it is likely related to your vent not opening/switching. Something''s wrong with your heating either way.
Check that the linkage that controls the damper is connected and working. The linkage is just above the gas pedal.
the antenna is in on the top of the back window the "top lines" that look like just like the defrost grid is the antenna you will see the connector on the side
i had to defrost the iced chicken.
It is defrost.
We just bought one from Lowes. You do not have to manual defrost it. It does a automatic defrost every 24 hours, from the time you first powered it up.
