Check: Coils, module & sensors
The engine might not be getting any fuel. The engine may also have weak or no fire at the spark plugs. Check these two places to find the problem.
Check your coil pack or the spark plugs.
depending on how worn the plugs are, it may not fire properly and this the engine wont start. plugs are cheap so i recommend you replace them regardless
The spark travels from the coil to the distributor then from the distributor to the plugs. So if you have spark going into the distributor but not coming out to the plugs, I would blame the distributor cap and rotor being at fault.
my ranger did the same thing you need to check the wires and the plugs or your o2 sensor behind your cat if ths wont fix the problem you have a serious problem!
your distrubator is numbered and your plugs if you start at the front of your engine toward the radiator the plugs are 2,4,6 and on the fire wall side the plugs are 1,3,5
coil, distributor, distributor cap, plugs, or wires.
On cars without distributors, the engine relies on sensors to send fire to the plugs. Sensors are commonly used to find the position of the crankshaft to determine the proper time to fire the plugs.
The sparks plugs fire and ignite the fuel in a Gasoline engine, and compression compresses the fuel until it ignites in a Diesel engine.
There is none on the 95 it uses a crank pickup to fire the plugs and a coil for each plug
Check the camshaft sensor. If the sensor is bad or not getting power, then the engine will not fire and the injector will not get a signal.
miss fire in a car engine is when the fuel in combustion chamber of a cylinder is ignited at a wrong time of the stroke between opening and closing of the intake outlet valves or there are no ignition of fuel on one or more cylinders. Fault finding would be on 1. spark plugs (petrol engine) 2. wiring from coil 3. timing 4. injectors.
