Simply fill thru the fill hole until fluid starts to run back out of the fill hole, reinstall plug bolt and you're done
trans fluid
there probably isn't one. Pontiac discontinued trans dipsticks in models earlier than yours. You have to check the fluid at the fill plug on the trans itself.
I know that a 1994 ranger with a manual trans. uses automatic trans. fluid
your vehicle does not have a dipstick tube, your trans is a sealed unit and cannot have fluid added to it.the only way to check your fluid level is at the transmission itself.there is a plug on the passenger side top area of your trans case
manual trans 91 Toyota pickup?
auto trans fluid its crazy i know
The 1986 Pontiac Trans Am typically uses DOT 3 brake fluid, which is a glycol-based fluid designed for hydraulic brake systems. It's important to ensure that the brake fluid is clean and free of moisture, as moisture can reduce the boiling point and lead to brake failure. Always check the owner's manual for specific recommendations and maintenance guidelines.
On the driver side, under the hood. Look back near the firewall down low. There is a red dipstick handle to check fluid level. Take out the dipstick and using a long funnel, add the trans fluid until full.
automatic trans fluid. Mercon works fine.
Your car probably has no transmission fluid dipstick. For whatever reasons, Pontiac did away with them early on in the Sunfire's existence. To check your trans fluid, there should be a fill plug under the car in the transmission. To check the level, remove the plug, stick your finger in the hole, remove your finger. If it's wet with fluid, the level is OK. If not, you need to add fluid. To do this, you'll have to get the car up on jackstands or ramps, but preferably on a lift so the car remains level. Please Use Caution! Cars falling on people is a BAD thing.
