Wires, pcm, distributor, crank sensor, timing belt,
It could be either the crank angle sensor or the distributor module. If it is the distributor module, you have to buy and install a re-man distributor.
if it has spark plugs check the distributor cap and/or rotor button for corrosion
If you are not getting spark, the distributor is common to fail. It is hard to tell from the question if you changed it or just the cap and rotor. Also, do you have fuel pressure. That could be a fuel pump. If you have neither fuel or fire, that could be aa computer or wiring issue.
There could be a few reasons why a 1997 Chrysler Sebring loses power and stalls at a low speed. The thermostat could be bad, the battery cables could be lose, or a spark plug may need changed.
Possibly bad fuel, or a bad sensor of some sort.
could be distributor cap or rotor
Yes, it could be the cap along with, plugs, wires, injector, internal engine, water in the fuel, fuel pump,
What i would do first is check the distributor cap and rotary button that's what usually goes bad first. if that's not it it could be the coil or maybe even the distributor itself.
The distributor is the crank sensor. If the timing belt was changed and the check engine light came on, the shaft that drives the distributor could be out of time.
Could be a weak coil or bad ignition control module. The ICM can be tested at AutoZone. Just have them test it several times to warm it up. It could also be a bad valve or cam lobe. If it's fuel injected a bad injector.
The magnetic plate in the distributor shaft, for the pick up coil, may be cracked.
May have Jumped time, could have a failing distributor cap and coil, failing spark plugs, bad O2 sensors, Bad Throttle body position sensor, the list can go on and on.
