sticking float on the fuel pump, or malfunction in the float
My fuel gauge, odometer and radiator gauge isn't working and my radio says locked. How can I fix this?
Head gaskets!!
Most of the time it's the fuel level sender in the fuel tank if your gauge moves around a bit but doesn't read correctly. If the Gauge is stuck on full all the time, the gauge itself is broken.
needs a thermostat
is the coolant disapeering at all ?
THE temp sending unit 4 the inside gauge usally has 1 wire & the sending unit 4 the Computer has 2 wires.
ground wire from tank to frame needs to be cleaned and remounted
Hi, It sounds like you have a fuel level sensor that is starting to go bad. This sensor is located in the fuel tank, and depending on the age of the van, will probably have to be replaced.
I had this happen to me and it was caused by something in the gas and did something to the sending unit in the gas tank. The dealership replaced the sending unit in the gas tank when my van was under warranty.
The fuel gauge on a Chevy may become stuck if the sending unit is defective or become disconnected. Without a signal from the tank, the gauge will not move.

An erratic temperature gauge on a 2004 Chevy Venture can be caused by several factors, including a faulty coolant temperature sensor, a damaged wiring harness, or a malfunctioning instrument cluster. Additionally, low coolant levels or air pockets in the cooling system can affect readings. It's advisable to check for any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and inspect the related components for proper functioning. Regular maintenance and prompt attention to any cooling system issues can help prevent further problems.
