1997 Nissan pickup rattles a couple seconds on a cold start. 2500rpm rattle comes and goes every couple seconds starting out quiet and increasing in intensity. Once engine warms up the noise goes away?

I have one its normal try starting at -25 below good ole Nissan

Although it sounds like its not oiling this is normal. Friend of mine bought one new in 87 made this sound from day one. Keep oil changed and its filter you should do fine.
