Ok I couldn't say as much as i wanted so i will here.
Like i said the car is not overheating. It has only happened 2 times and after the first time i still drove it because it wasnt smoking too bad and it went away. The second time it happened we just went back home and its been parked ever since. My bf thinks its the head gasket. My moms mechanic is thinking it could be the intake but he hasn't looked at it i just told him the symptoms. Can anyone help give any advice as to what it could be because between my bf and the mechanic and things ive read online im lost and i don't have the money to bring it in to be looked at so im just trying to get any information i can. Thank you.

if it smells like antifreeze inside the cockpit then your problem is the heatercore, since you can't see it.

Possibilities are low coolant, defective radiator, leaky hoses, blown head gasket...
