Well, the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank. It may very well be that your pump is what's making the noise.
blown head gasket!
oil light comes on when there is not poper amount of oil in engine. if proper amount is in engine and light comes on at idle, maybe the oil needs changing. oil looses some of its viscosity when old/you might also check oil sender unit and oil pressure gauge. it all these are good you need new oil pump,as it is loosing pressure at idle. just because oil light comes on , DOES NOT mean you need new main bearings. YOU WILL KNOW WHEN U NEED MAINS AS THE ENGINE WILL RATTLE LIKE A THOUSAND LITTLE MEN IN IN WITH HAMMERS. THIS NOISE WILL ALSO GET WORSE WHEN YOU REV ENGINE
If no codes (check engine light) or rpm fluctation first check fuel pressure
3.1 engine leaks at the intake gasket
check the catalystic converter its getting old and falling apart,it's blocking the engine exhaust....
The 2.2 engine doesn't have much HP to begin with. It's probably giving you all it has.
smalltime here, generally your compression rings on your pistons are shot ormabey worse case senerio cracked block! hope this helps. smalltime.
Yes, as long as you have a fully charged battery and good starter the engine will start even if the alternator is defective. The engine will run until the battery looses it's charge, which it will. if the alternator is bad.
check for clogged fuel filter, incorrect or improperly gapped spark plugs, or ignition timing
Over time parts of the engine get worn and are less efficient meaning that the engine looses some power (but generally not enough to notice). It also gathers miles and becomes loose so does not work as well.
I have a 1999 dodge neon that looses power and can't get to cruising speed
No "drug" looses dog smell(s)/or if you call frebreeze a drug then yes. there is.
