If the radio does not have a plug for aux input, then a new radio needs to be connected. A new radio with an aux plug and connector needs to be installed in the Range Rover.Ê
Did you look under the ashtray for the code. That's usually where the code is located.
It might be a problem with your antenna. The Range Rover HSE 2005 has been a bit outdated in the past years. Many has been forced to buy the newer model like the Evoque. In any case if the antenna does have a problem you could get it repaired at the mechanics and got to the car junk yard for a radio that is compatible with the HSE.

Removing a radio from a Rover 25 is easy and quick. All you have to do is remove the trimming with a flat head screw driver, unscrew the panel, take off the panel, unscrew the radio, then take out the radio.
If it is the original factory fitted radio take the model and serial number to your dealership with your VIN. They should be able to tell you the code.
Call your local Land Rover dealership...they will give you a code.
If you have an err code on the display you need to enter a 4-digit number provided just for your radio. If you cannot locate it in your owners book, call your local dealer with the VIN and they should be able to provide you with the radio code.
Each car has a different code. You will have to bring your Rover's chassis no to a Rover or ex Rover dealership and they will supply the code for £20. That's what I was charged anyway!
