Check your brake power booster
It is possible the rubber lines at the calipers are collapsing causing a suction which will not allow the brakes to release. might want to check that. Had same issue replaced lines and calipers wheel bearing and found it to be an abs issue the pressure is not releasing
If the brakes are not working on the back of a 1997 Dodge 1500 after changing the brake pads, try bleeding the brakes. The fault may also be with the master cylinder under the hood. Check to make sure all brake lines are connected.
There is a "proportioning valve" that relieves some pressure during heavy braking.
You Probably have air in your brake lines Or you may have low brake fluid. Mechanics can bleed the brake lines which will remove the air out of the lines. I do not recommend doing this yourself.
I need help on fixing my back brakes on my 1997 sunfire
how to adjust rear brakes on 1997 tracer merc.
low pressure line. these are the larger of the two lines and have larger connectors
The 1997 Chevrolet Silverado rear brakes should automatically adjust themselves. Every time you back the vehicle up and hit the brakes the brakes adjust.
yes you can get a kit to convert brakes
To bleed the brakes lines on a 1997 Acura TL connect a piece of tubing from the bleeder valve with the other end submerged in brake fluid. Repeatedly pump the brakes inside the car and hold them down as the bleeder valve is loosen. Do this until there are no more bubbles be released.
The 1997 Nissan Pathfinder does not have a schrader valve. If you want to test the fuel pressure system (fuel pump, lines, pressure regulator) you have to insert a 'T' in the fuel line under the hood and connect a fuel pressure gauge to the 'T'.
S-series brakes are notorious for being much different than any other cars brakes. They have alot more "Feel" to them and seem harder than other vehicles. This is normal. As long as they dont loose pressure they are fine
