check the break light switch, you need to look under up to the break pedal. You will see two switches and the break light switch is on the drivers side (Left). Usually there will be a plastic bumper on the pedal itself witch will help push in the switch. If its not there then replace it, if it continues then there are multiple things you can do. Check the fuses, battery, and look for shorts in the wires. You can clean the switch with some electrical cleaner. If none of this works then i would take it into a dealership. Hope that helped.
why or how do i find the brake light switch on my 1997 nissan 200sx. how do i chane it out.
Do some checking, I bet its the brake lights. There is A hole in the brake pedal, It used to have A plastic plug, I bet the plug is gone. An uphostery plug will just snap in. Use a big one.
Check switch under pedal & make sure is turning off when not applied.
98 brake horse power comes to mind but I am not sure.
Probably the rubber bumper/stopper which depresses the brake switch is gone/disintegrated. Check beneath the brake pad for broken pieces. Without this piece in place, the switch is always closed and therefore powered to light up the lights.
The brake lights in your 1983 Nissan pickup truck are controlled by the brake light relay switch. When the brake light relay switch malfunctions the brake lights will stop working.
There is no switch to activate or deactivate the brake lights on a 1988 Nissan. The brake lights automatically turn on any time the brakes are pressed.
If the brakes are disk on the rear they can't be push or pressed in they have to be screwed in by turning the piston clock wise try this it should work. That is what I did on my 1994 Nissan Maxima becareful not to damage the rubber dust boot on the piston.
They are tied to either the brake lights or the tail lights.
The brake light switch on a Nissan is located just behind the brake pedal. It sends a signal to the brake lights when the pedal is pressed to turn them on.
the brake light driver side not working
The most probable cause is that the brake light switch is out of adjustment.
