An engine cylinder misfire has been detected in cylinder # 1
I had the same problem with a 1999 Expedition and it was a bad plug. Ford had a problem also with the plugs blowing out. It cost me about 1200.00
Could be a bad ignition coil each cylinder has its own
Engine misfire. Possibly a bad coil or spark plug.

Bad plugs, wire , or coil pack.
I'll bet from my experience that its a coil pack that sits on top of your spark plug. I have replaced 3 on my 99 expedition. The misfire code is what my 99 read all 3 times. go ahead and replace the spark plug while your at it.---------------------------------------------Auto Zone will read your codes for FREE...Like the above person said, I bet it's a coil pack ,bad plug or wire. The 5.4L has a coil pack on each plug. The 4.6L has only two coil packs.Firing Orders; (4.6L - 5.4L)************* Firewall ************(Passenger Side) 4 * 8 (Drivers Side)(Passenger Side) 3 * 7 (Drivers Side)(Passenger Side) 2 * 6 (Drivers Side)(Passenger Side) 1 * 5 (Drivers Side)************ Radiator *************
This could be caused by bad wiring but is usually caused by a weak coil. Change the plugs and install a new coil....I'd recommend doing all of them. This should take care of the misfire.
