Could be you need diagnostics reset or catalytic converter on the way out
You need to clear the codes with a engine scanner.
You need a engine scanner and hook it up and it will tell you what sensor is bad.
The sensor could be defective from factory have it checked at auto zone? Or you might have a bad relay. Had the same problem today. Replaced the relay which is located on the driver side engine compartment fender well. Cost: $21.78 Fan cycles on as required depending on engine temp.
Using a scanner with a scope, you can view the output wave of the sensor as you crank the engine.
Faulty sensor get it replaced if not check to make sure wire isn't shorting out
The computer will tell you. If you have a "check engine" light, connect a code scanner to see what the computer has detected. If there is a problem with the oxygen sensor the code scanner will display the appropriate problem code.
Yes it can hurt your engine to drive with a bad knock sensor. The knock sensor should be replaced as soon as possible.
your knock sensor could need to be replaced
You must have the crank sensor reprogram or relearned by the ECM. This must be done by your dealer with a tech2 or a shop with a high end scanner like a snap-on.
Try changing the CRANK SHAFT Position Sensor.
Clear the code with a trouble code scanner. I had this code once because the owner installed the air filter wrong and F...I mean messed up the mass air flow sensor. The sensor had to be replaced.
I replaced all 3 sensors and the problem still exists. Do I need to have the ECM reprogrammed at the dealership? Are there any other suggestions?
