your knock sensor could need to be replaced
where is the bank 1/sensor 2 O2 sensor on a dodge caravan...to the rear of the catalitic converter or to the engine (front) side of the converter?
Check the MAP sensor.
check for tune-up, check maf sensor, check o2 sensors, do a fuel system service.
symptoms of a bad sensor will be , engine cutting out then starting again as you drive. cutting out then being able to restart when vehicle is stopped. hard starting. if left long enuff before replacing, you will not be able to restart
It sounds like your VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor) has gone bad, which will turn on your check engine light.
check warning lights
That is a warning light to "check your engine". Visit a mechanic and have them use a computer code reader to check for a trouble code. On a 2005 there is a good chance that you may have a bad sensor, such as an oxygen sensor.
Common causes include gas cap is loose, sensor malfunction, engine misfire, transmission malfunction,Common causes include gas cap is loose, sensor malfunction, engine misfire, transmission malfunction,
NO. That means the engine is running too hot. Check cooling system.
Cold weather can make your check engine light come on for various reasons. It could be caused by low fluids or a sensor.
Warning for Change oil schedule or Low oil pressure. Check also the Oil sensor malfunction.
check the oxygen sensor or oil pump is going out have that checked too
Depends on which engine warning light you are referring to. If you are taking about the Check Engine light, then you must have the problem fixed that caused the light to come on. It is an emissions problem and you need to seek the help of a professional.
Most O2 sensor problems should set a check engine warning; otherwise, the manufacturer would probably be in violation of EPA and CARB regulations. In older cars, with less sensitive on-board diagnostic (OBD) systems, and unheated O2 Sensors, it may be possible for an O2 sensor to become partially contaminated, and not set the check engine light. In this case, your fuel economy would be degraded slightly, but the vehicle might still meet emissions. Hence, there would be No check engine light. Aside from the slightly degraded fuel economy, the car would still run normally.
fuel system check engine light on was diagnose as being the fuel sensor now car cuts off while driving What would be the problems? You think maybe the fuel sensor could be bad? It's nice when the check engine light gives you the answer
Good Chance this is caused by a faulty O2 Sensor. I had the engine light stuck on in my 2002 Montana and replaced rear O2 sensor and it turned it off.
It is the Check Engine Light, it means you have had a sensor fault. You should take it somewhere and have the codes dumped. They will tell you what you need.
