a bad throttle position sensor, or dirty throttle plate , plugged fuel injector, clogged fuel filter....is engine light on? Don"t overlook any vacum[hose, intake gasket,or connections]. Sometimes engine wiring connection [added and original connection]. I have found many problems with small guage [16-20] wires with fault spots because of rubbing at wire tie off's.Also check any wire location where added accesories come into present wires.
carb needs adjustment

idle control valve
If it stalls for no reason then no one can give you an answer
Sounds like a sensor issue, I would check the temperature sensor for the ECM as a possibility or get the car scanned to see what the sensors are doing. If the check engine light is on there will be stored codes to give you direction.
You need to check the fuel pressure with a gauge. It should have no less then 9 lbs. and no more then 13 lbs are you will have starting are running problems.
Try the throttle position sensor
