Try to disconnect the negative cable from the battery and wait couple minutes. it needs to reset computer after that connect and try to start again. If it didn't work. Check the fuse box in the engine compartment. If fuses are ok, you have to check the starter. Also check cables around the starter and battery.

check battery,starter voltage
either your battery does not have adequate cranking amps or your starter motor needs overhauling if new battery, i would pull starter and replace
The starter solenoid is sticking or stuck.
I would check alternator.
Your starter solenoid is sticking. Replace the starter solenoid and you should be good to go.
Sounds like a crank sensor - a car of mine did that and that was the cause of its failure.
Did it turn over after it stopped running??? Could be too many differant things to list. But i would start by checking for loose or rusted wires going from battery to alternator and starter. Also make sure the ground wire (usually attached to the block) is tight.
You have a bad battery connection or a bad starter solenoid. Check and clean the battery connections, if no luck , replace the starter solenoid which is the liitle box that the short battery cable runs to. I hope this helps you. Mark
that sounds like your starter motor isn't working, which would explain why there is no noise when you try to restart it
If the car is ticking but not turning over when trying to start, it sounds as if it's an electrical issue. The ticking sound is probably the starter solenoid. It sounds like there's not enough current to engage the starter. (They require quite a bit of juice.) I'd suggest checking the battery, alternator, and battery cables.
