First off, more info is needed. Is your sunfire equipped with a 2.2 or 2.4 engine. If it is a 2.2 the water pump is driven by the serpentine belt and a fairly easy job, But if your sunfire has the 2.4 engine, the job will be very labour intensive. The pump on the 2.4 is driven by the timing chain, so the timing chain cover will need to come off, the timing chain comes off. This does not mention unbolting the pump of the back of the engine block. That is even more work. Good Luck
