1999 Porsche lots of white smoke when car starts. After a few min it stops.I also noticed that a small amount of water is spitting from the exhaust then stops?

Water is normal. White smoke is probably a failed air oil separator that is drawing oil into the throttle, through the engine and exhausting as white smoke. Part is approx 100 bucks and has been upgraded by Porsche, but it is a pain to fit. Problem is especially common if the car is driven in hot climates. Part usually fails 20,000 miles either side of 80,000 miles. White smoke can come and go, but doesn't mean car has fixed itself. Also common symptom is rough idle and check engine light showing fault codes p1128 & p1130.
