It could be a vacuum leak
Replace the Idle Air Control Valve only about $50. This would cause funny idling and stalling out.
lol that's what its suppossed to do... if when idling low it stalls or is really roush then you might have a real problem.
I was told that this might be the EGR Valve either is clogged or going bad.
Need a little more info. What Model and year of the vehicle?

A) It needs to be serviced. B) An animal in your trunk is uneasy when the engine idles.
Mine did this and I found out it was the timing belt that needed to be changed.
id change the coolant temp sensor
Possibly a defective torque converter lock-up solenoid. Disconnect the solenoid and see if that cures the problem. If so replace the solenoid.
