you blew a fuse... find which one it is, try radio.. try room fuse if there is one. keep looking til you find the blown fuse ;) its there
go to crutchfield.com or the12volt.com
o.e. radio may be part of alarm system. or, blew out fuses. may have caused electrical damage(cut wires, blown electrical components).
One of the easiest and quickest ways to do this, is to go to an audio store and buy a wire harness. It should plug right into the factory plug (providing that it is still intact) and then plug into your new radio. If not, it will have ready to go wires for the harness that came with your radio.
behind the radio hidden up amongst the bundle of wires, it is very difficult to access and replace
all you have to do is take the dash off (if you pull it it comes off) the unhook the light wires and the cargo lamp wires the the radio will just unclip and you can pull it out
the answer is here www.installdr.com I had the same problem.
section 12-55 in haynes repair manual has a diagram of all the radio wires and the colors.
have you checked your wires
Cut the wires on the old fixture and splice wires from new receptacle
Hardwire means "physical stuff not software". It means: take the loose wires of your radio - (No factory plug on the wires) and tie it to the wires of the car radio wiring. (There are wiring kits that may adapt your vehicle to the radio if both of the radios still has it's plug $&20) You have to match and splice, or tie together all of the desired or required wires from your new radio to the vehicle radio wiring... I suggest you do not cut out the vehicle radio plug but skin the wires back a little here and there (and tape up afterwards) to get a connction you need and solder the radio's leads to the vehicle wiring just behind the original's radio plug. LOL
Many aftermarket companies sell adapters for aftermarket wire harnesses. They have the original factory harness at one end and you cennect that to the harness that came with the radio. Check your local car audio installer.
If your are using a wire kit, you need to connect the blue and/or blue/white wire from the harness to the blue/white wire from your radio. Now if you have cut your wires you will have to locate the one wire that will turn on your factory amp.Good Luck!!!!
