1999 jeep wrangler starts but wont stay running unless i keep giving it some gas after a minute or two its ok?

sounds as if your idle speed controller is gummed up ,it gets liquid from the heat of the engine and works fine.take the idle speed controller off and clean it with carburetor cleaner,that should do the trick,if not replace it.
