see if u can check for faulty codes that's means on dash board have it to show check engine light if so have some local shop get the codes for u if not try one thing at the time, most popular crank shaft sensor located in front of the engine right below of oil cooler, next cam shaft sensor or module there is inside of distribuitor, for that one u will need a the repair book if u are not familiar with those system, next speed control sensor one of the most common is located on rear of the trans. rigth below the battery, and the last cold start valve or coolant sent sensor the shippest way try used from pik up part u will spend just small amount on the parts but is 80% chance u will get that fix for 100's less good luck.....
check the alternator, ignition coil. or even see what the charge at the battery is.
to reset the alarm system for a Mercury Sable when the alarm is causing the car not to start, place the key in the ignition. Turn the key only about halfway and leave it in this spot for 10 minutes before trying to start the car.
Sounds like an ignition module....
Check to see if it is getting fuel and spark - could be a weak ignition coil
it could be the lock out senor in the transmission.
You get a small african swallow and place its foot inside the ignition, after about five minutes turn the ignition, you'll be fine :)
turn ignition on leave it on for 10 minutes then switch ignition off then you start the car
yes
turn the ignition off for 3 minutes
I just fixed mine! Remove the panel over pedals by removing 4 screws with a 10mm socket wrench. Unplug the white plastic plug that has two blue wires that attach to the ignition assembly. This also disables the chime that rings when you have the door open with the key in the ignition. You can test it before you put the panel back. This job took 10 minutes. I had already replaced the entire ignition assembly, which did not fix the problem.
For a few years in the 1970s, they changed the length to 80 minutes, but it was changed back to 70 minutes again a few years later, as it is now. League games used to be 60 minutes, but are now 70 minutes.
More than likely you have an ignition failure along the line of the Ignition control module and coil. Basically a connection that is held together by internal gel on the component is disconnecting when warm. I have found the problem. The cam sensor was the problem. I had earlier changed the Air Flow Sensor but the problem persists and as soon as I changed the Cam Sensor the SUV started running like new.
