I just found something that says 3 squares equals 86 chocolate chips.... so that would be about 29 Chocolate Chips for 1 square!!! Happy Baking!
Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks
Ghirardelli is a popular brand of chocolate known for its semi-sweet flavor and is often used by bakers.
86 semi-sweet chocolate chips equals 3 squares of semi-sweet baking chocolate.
A good substitute for German sweet chocolate in baking recipes is a combination of semi-sweet chocolate and sugar. You can use 1 ounce of semi-sweet chocolate and 1 tablespoon of sugar for every ounce of German sweet chocolate called for in the recipe.
Yes.
The exact substitution measurements should be printed on the semisweet morsels package, since different manufacturers use different formulas. Roughly 3 Tablespoons of semisweet morsels could substitute for 1 oz. bakers chocolate, reducing sugar in recipe by 1 or 2 Tablespoons. Bakers Chocolate can be unsweetened, bittersweet, semi-sweet or German Chocolate, so one must consider the amount of sugar that needs to be added or subtracted from the recipe if one uses semisweet morsels. When you put the chips in, add sugar.
Yes no difference.
Um... chocolate? lol specifically milk chocolate, if the recipe really does call for Hershey bars and not baking chocolate, which is usually semi-sweet and not as sweet as milk chocolate.
Well it depends on what you are baking but for most recipes, yes you can us Hershey kisses as a substitute. Just remember that they will make your recipe sweeter and that they are a lot bigger than the small semi sweet chocolate chips.
um... sugar. tip: buy sweet chocolate. it's probably cheaper anyways.
