Honestly, colleges don't really care that much about sports, especially GREAT colleges, UNLESS, you have shown extreme dedication to them OR you have received outstanding recognition (such as nationals)...if not..then I reccommend you try hard and do try to reach this recognition, it will be worth it :D....of course..also try to increase GPA. :D
AnswerI must say I disagree with the person above me. Grades are undoubtibly the most important of your college application. I don't dispute that. But extras are also important. Colleges like to see a well-rounded student. That means good grades and extras. It depends on what you mean by a "good" school. If you mean a fairly selective school, you are going to have to bring up your GPA quite a bit. Good Luck!!! (and I didn't mean that sarcastically):D
If you show talent that is comparable to LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, or Adrian Peterson, then the college could care less about your GPA. Keep in mind that colleges have scouts all over the country whose job is to find talent. So to say that colleges don't care about sports is completely untrue. The bigger and better your team is, the more money and recognition that your college will get.
i am pretty sure you do
