Yes. I dont know how but all 2000 Chevy Cavaliers were made in a way (i dont know which way) making the transmission easy to crack. You do need to remove the transmission and fix or replace it. Most Dealers will give you a discount for a fix if you complain the right way

It is a wiring problem. My mechanic followed the wiring and found where it had frayed. He spliced the wire, removed the headlight and soldered it back on. Works like new now!
