i think that i have the same problem
a guy at one of these quick oil change places told me that they could clear them up he said that they take something like a fine sandpaper to clean them, he said that it was on the outside of the lamp
I have used liquid Cascade, full strength, scrub with stiff brush or light sand paper. Works great!
you can use rubbing compound,it worked for me
