umm not a specialist, but the fuel sending unit, the part that goes in the tank, that measures the volume might be broken. haha. i think you can get to it, by taking out the rear seat, and that big black rubber thing, just replace it, and/or check the wires, and make sure they aren't cut, or worn.

Q: 2000 Lanos fuel gauge stays either on full or empty for weeks at a time regardless of how much fuel is in the tank. Low fuel light appears to still function.?
