Yes, in 2000 the Malibu dropped its I4 engine leaving just the 3.1L V6 which remained the same in the 2000 to 2003 model years. It is also the same on the 2004 to 2005 Chevrolet Classic which is just a re-badged Malibu.

you shouldn't have to, just reset radio! if car runs funny it will be ok in a few starts.

i just put 6 ltrs of dextron 6 in my 2000 Malibu

It would be to your advantage to buy a Haynes Manual as it would have just what you need to complete the job. They are specific to the car you own.

it is under car just before the fuel tank on drivers side.

There is a recall on the 2001 Malibu blinkers. I'm not sure exactly what had to be fixed but my Malibu was having the same problems but seem to work fine now. There is a recall on just about every late 90's to early 2000's Malibu. Even my 2000 Grand Am has the same recall! If I run the AC they seem to work again. It's weird It is probably a bad emergency light button. The blinkers are wired through it, so when it starts going out so will the blinkers. Its about $25 and takes 5 min to change.

it is located under car in back, just in front of fuel tank.

I've put nearly 110K miles on my 2000 Malibu and it still runs pretty well. Just the basic maintenance/care . . . I'm sure driving conditions make a lot of difference, too.

on V6 models, it is on front of engine just above the oil filter. good-day !

A transmission shop will do it for about $200. Just had it done to my 1980 Malibu.

check to see if there is a problem in brakeing system. might just be low fluid in master cylinder.

it is on engine block on right side faceing it, just about even with radiator hose. at end of radiator hose in housing.

It might differ depending on if it's a Malibu "LS" or just a plain Malibu. My plain Malibu requires P215/60R15.

the fuel filter is located just ahead of fuel tank under car. between tank and canister.
