the cap is on the coolant surge tank, on side by fender.
no cap on3.1, it is on expan sion tank for coolant.
The radiator doesn't have a cap. The overflow reservoir tank has a cap instead. (Tan plastic tank on passenger side)

Thermostats on all vehicles are in between the engine and the radiator, generally right on the radiator.....he failed to mention that it could also be under the radiator cap.
