Low on the engines throttle body assembly is a small thermally actuated piston which when engine coolant temp rises pushes against spring loaded cam which lowers the idle setting. There is an adjustment screw on the cam plate. If there is any sign of leakage or buildup of dried engine coolant where the rod comes out of its cylinder you will need to replace this. It is the cold engine idle valve.
