You do have a leak in the system and the best way to locate it will be by using a dye and a fluorescent light..........
The most common leak for this truck will be the evaporator in the dash....
Take it to a Section 609 certified shop and have them recover it. That is the only legal way to do it, and is also the only way to do it without opening up the AC system, unless you intend to spend $3,000 - $6,000 on your own R/R/R machine.
the gross vehical weight is 2663 pounds according to the sticker on my door
That depends on fuel tank size and the cost of fuel. If your Dakota has the 22 gallon tank and gas is $4.00 a gallon that is $88.00 if completely empty.
The rear axle will hold about 2.5 quarts.
Every time I fill up my tank from empty I get in about 17 gallons if I fill it up all the way up the spout.
Yes. The fuel gauge in most vehicles will settle at 'empty' with the ignition off.
It would work if the system is empty. It does not mix well with the Dodge red coolant. Look for Zerex GO 5 that is the aftermarket version of the Dodge five year coolant.
The freon capacity for a 2000 Mercedes S430 is about 29 ounces. The 29 ounces would only be used if the system was completely empty.
0 ......because its empty stupid :)
Fuel pumps are always located on the top of the gas tank. For the 93 Dakota, the gas tank is on the drivers side, underneath where the bed connects to the body. You wont be able to get to it with out dropping the gas tank, a task that is more easily accomplished on an empty tank.
Have it checked for codes, it will probably have to do with the fuel level sensor in the fuel tank.
In a Dodge I believe it stands for Distance To Empty.
