It will require a great deal of modification, because the digital one requires a different type of sensor. It's not a plug-and-play swap. In my opinion, it's more trouble then its worth. It might be better to stick with the manual, as it is easier to operate.

not without replacing the dash harness. The cars with digital have a sun load sensor and an ambient temp sensor to determine cabin air temperature. they also use the outside ambient temp sensor which may or may not be installed on your particular maxima.
