On the throttle body, opposite of where the cable attach,On the throttle body, opposite of where the cable attach,
It attaches to throttle plate (next to throttle cable) to cruise control unit.
The throttle position sensor on a 1999 Toyota 4Runner is located by the throttle body. It will be mounted near the throttle cable.
Shift Cable
throttle position sensor is located on the throttle body oposite of the throttle cable. Should be held on by 2 screw and a 3 wire plug.
Chances are the throttle cable from the pedal to the throttle body needs replacing.
the t.p.s is right across from the throttle cable on the throttle body the when u find it u will see how to take it off
check the recalls there is something in there about the throttle positioning cable that was manufactured with a burr on the end of the cable... try that they will replace it for free.
i would check for slack in the cable wire if so get tie strapes and pull the slack hold it and put strapes around it enough so it wont go back in (throttle cable)
The fuel distribution systems on engines have gone through many changes over the years. Carburetors were used at first, then the manufacturers installed throttle bodies on engines and then came the fuel injectors. Carburetors and throttle bodies have a fuel line running to them, whereas injectors have a fuel rail; several injectors feed off the same rail. The 99 Buick Park Avenue vehicle uses a throttle body mechanism. Always clean the engine compartment with a pressure washer or garden hose to remove oil and dirt that might get into the engine before removing the throttle body. If it is heavily soiled, you may want to use a degreaser.Step 1Raise the hood of the Buick and use the 8-mm wrench to loosen the battery cables. Turn the nuts on the battery posts counterclockwise. Once the cable ends are loosened, lift them off by hand.Step 2Remove the dust cover shield from the top of the engine by removing its securing screw with the flat-head screwdriver.Step 3Disconnect the throttle cable and the cruise control cable, if the vehicle is equipped with these components. Use the needle-nose pliers to squeeze the side of the cable mounts--this allows the cables to slide out of their mounts. Undo the ends from the throttle body.Step 4Use the fuel line disconnect tool to disconnect the fuel line from the throttle body.Step 5Remove the wire connectors from the throttle body and from the intake tube.Step 6Use the flat-head screwdriver to loosen the clamps on the intake tube and remove the tube from the throttle body.Step 7Use the 10-mm socket and ratchet to remove the four bolts that attach the throttle body to the intake manifold. Remove the throttle body when it drops.
It is located just under the throttle body on the intake manifold. Follow the wiring harness and you will see where it sets underneath the throttle pulley assemply on the front right side of the motor.
Yes, any 1999 Buick will have a chain.
