probably the abs pump...mine has started whining after sitting >6hrs, during which the abs has bled off pressure (which it shouldn't)-:
where is the humming noise coming from? if it's coming thru the speakers and matches the rev tone of the engine, then you have a bad ground in your stereo.
the humming noise is coming from a bad ground on you stereo
it can be your alignment, check your tire pressure, make sure the tires arent in bad condition, or out of round.
no unless you have a bee in it
It may be a wheel bearing making noise, or your tires may be way overdue for a tire rotation. Are the tires badly worn in some spots?
radiator fan.
that is probably your electic fuel pump nothing to worry about
The fuel pump is not shutting off .
The little boy in "The Catcher in the Rye" was humming the song "If a body catch a body coming through the rye," which inspired the title of the novel.
is the humming coming from the front end of the vehicle? i have a 1996 explorer with the same issue. yes the noise come from the front but not all the time seems to make the humming noise when it gets hot
Could be a bearing or a worn out crown and pinion set.
Is your fuel pump turning on?? If you dont hear a humming coming from the back, that might be your problem. Mine did the same thing, but started off cutting out after a couple minutes of driving to just barely starting.
