If overheating while moving it could be brakes dragging or emergency brake on or bad bearings in wheel. If overheats when idling could be bad timing, seized alternator or idler pulley bearings.

its either the water pump or thermostat take it to a shop if you can that pump is a nightmare to change
Is your fan coming on?
If it's overheating, it cold be thermostat, radiator or possibly other problems. If it's not overheating it could be the coolant level sensor.
It could still be the head gasket.
Either the water pump impeller is loose on it's shaft, or you have a leaking head gasket.
A 1992 Cavalier could be overheating for several reasons. The Thermostat could be bad, the coolant could be low, or the water pump may be failing. The cooling fan could also be bad.
Check to see if you have water droplets on your oil dipstick,if you do,you have a blown head gasket
Check the coolant levels. Insure that the cooling fan turns on when its supposed to, and the thermostat is not stuck closed. Make sure that the water pump is operating correctly.
